Sr. Jacinta Nwaohiri, O.P

Sr. Jacinta Nwaohiri, O.P., is a member of the Religious Congregation of the Dominican Sisters of St. Catherine of Siena, Nigeria. She was born on May 26, 1968 and hails from Umuogwara, Umunumo in Ehime – Mbano Local Government area of Imo State. She was admitted to the Dominican Sisters Congregation on February 5, 1989 and made her religious profession on October, 28, 1991. She is a Clinical Psychologist.

As a Religious Sister, she has served in various capacities such as Grassroots Evangelization in the present Catholic Diocese of Kontagora (1991 – 1994), Directress of Novices of her Congregation(2000 – 2008 and 2011 – 2012), (School Councillor ( 2008 – 2009), Councillor of her Congregation (2005- 2013) Superior General (2013 – 2021).

She currently serves as Clinical Psychologist at the Resuscitate Hospital in Gwagwalada, F. C.T. Sr. Jacinta has a passion for care for Women and Children and engages in projects for Safeguarding and Protection of Children and vulnerable adults, she has at various times served as Chaplain for some Women and Youth organizations in the Catholic Church. Her Hobby includes gardening and animal husbandry.
