Kenneth Nnamdi Agwuh

Dr. Ken N. Agwuh is a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologist, currently working as a consultant in infection in the Department of Infection, at Doncaster & Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He is also the Director of Infection Prevention and Control, and the Clinical Director –Pathology.

Dr Agwuh was awarded the NHS compassionate care award by the Doncaster Chamber in 2020 for his dedicated services to the hospital and the local community during the early phases of the COVID-19 pandemic.

He has a passion for antimicrobial stewardship (AMS), promoting out-patient antimicrobial therapy (OPAT) and other measures to prevent Healthcare Associated Infections (HCAI) with special interest in hospital water systems and ventilation systems. His other area of clinical interest includes spondylodiscitis, infections relating to prosthesis in particular Orthopaedic.

He is passionate about promoting healthcare and wellbeing for individuals and wider communities.
